Greco-Roman Ring Temple — Free Quick & Simple Workshop Guide (PDF)

Gary Faulkner · March Attack | QSG0001-D | Illustrated PDF guide

How do you make a painted MDF temple look like a piece of weathered stonework that has been standing for years? Gary takes you through a simple approach using textured and marble-effect spray paints, washes, a little dry-brushing and scenic foliage.

Follow the original photographs from assembling and base-coating the Greco-Roman Ring Temple through spot-spraying grey tones, building a stone effect, washing and highlighting the surface, then wrapping foliage strips around the columns. Gary finishes with clumps of greenery and scenic leaves to make a small gaming-table diorama.

Free digital edition. Add the guide to your basket and complete checkout to receive the PDF through Sarissa's existing digital guide delivery system. Updated editions can be supplied through the normal guide delivery process. No printed guide is supplied.

The guide features the Greco-Roman Ring Temple (T065). You can also find foliage sheets for vines and ivy among our hobby materials. The methods can be applied to other MDF stonework and ruins.

Gary Faulkner, known online as March Attack, heads up design at Sarissa Precision. He has designed the vast majority of the kits and terrain you'll find on our website and painted almost all the finished examples you see there.

These Quick & Simple Guides share the techniques and materials Gary uses himself, showing how you can achieve great results without making things unnecessarily complicated.
