The Redrock Bluffs & Cactus Flats
Beyond the last buildings of Redrock Falls, the land rises into the Redrock Bluffs, two jagged outcrops of sun-baked stone that overlook the town and the dusty trails leading in and out. From their heights, scouts, bandits and lawmen alike can watch who’s coming — and who’s trying to leave without being noticed.
Scattered between the rocks grow the twisted cacti of Cactus Flats, two stubborn varieties that somehow thrive in the harsh soil. They offer little shade and less comfort, but they’ve become landmarks for travellers, duellists and ambushers who use them as cover while waiting for trouble to arrive.
Many a gunfight has started among those bluffs, with only the cactus left standing to remember who fell there.
