How do you turn an MDF sci-fi warehouse into a weathered industrial building with rusty metalwork, worn markings and graffiti? Gary takes you through the painting of Sarissa's Industrial Pod – Warehouse (S009), originally finished for a prize draw winner whose brief was weathered metal and graffiti.
Follow the original photographs from assembling the warehouse in sections and adding detail from MDF offcuts, through copper and steel-effect spray coats, masking the floor markings and applying textured finishes. Gary then shows how he builds up soot, rust and ink washes, finishes the interior and adds graffiti with water-based paint pens.
