Origins and Vision
The creation of the Sarissa CMYK brand was driven by a need to distinguish between our traditional products and those that are full colour printed. Steve's 30+ years of experience in the print industry made the Sarissa CMYK name a natural choice. The vision behind Sarissa CMYK was clear from the outset: we wanted to do something new, not just repackage our existing offerings in full colour.
This new brand was created to avoid confusion and to make it clear that these products are an addition to our line-up, not a replacement.

Development Process
The journey to bring Sarissa CMYK to life started back in 2019 and has been anything but rushed. Gary, who spearheaded the design work for Tollingchester, details the process in another article. In short, everything under the Sarissa CMYK brand was conceived from the ground up as a full colour product. We didn't just take our existing designs and print on them; we reimagined the entire process.
Over the years, we've released full colour tokens, templates, dice, and dice towers, but the new printed full colour buildings represent a significant evolution. Throughout this time, we've continually refined our processes, incorporating customer feedback along the way.
For example, many customers love how quickly our kits can be assembled and customised, and they weren't keen on the idea of pre-painted buildings. This feedback reinforced our decision to keep our traditional kits unchanged while introducing the Sarissa CMYK range as a complementary offering.

As the name suggests, CMYK refers to the four colours used in the printing process - Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black, also known as process colours. This isn't just a branding choice; it's integral to how these kits are designed and produced.
