Chris (aka. Terrain Bandit) shows his The Last Of Us themed City Block

We love seeing everyone's interpretations and where they take our kits. Having awarded Chris (aka. Terrain Bandit) as a #SPMasterMaker (read about the award you can get here) for his previous work on some of our Old West buildings, we sent him a set of the latest City Block to see what he came up with...

Chris: Here’s a couple of buildings I did in collaboration with Sarissa Precision timed for the release of their new City Block range.

Start with an Inspirational image

I wanted to capture a dystopian feel, themed along the lines of The Last Of Us and found some really cool inspirational images to guide me.

I included internal and street scatter which you can get from Mantic Games and Debris of War.

Inside I used Sarissa wallpapers, an easy to use resource for quick results.

For the Foliage I used summer ivy from MiniNatur (the dark green bits), the other is a light green foliage mat from model shop.co.uk.

I think the last step I may make is to work a bit on the bricks. The red brick work looks very vibrant compared to the weathering on the other elements of the piece. For now though that may wait as I have a few other sets in this range to work on. Weathering all of their brick work in one go will help tie them together as a set.

Till next time ;)
